I came across this Bloomberg article by Peter Robison describing how Boeing screewed up their 737 Max software by outsourcing on the cheap.

While the title that includes “… outsourced to 9 USD/hour engineers …” is a little bit click-bait, the article is an interesting read for all vendor managers, project managers, IT and software development mangers, engineers, consultants and service provider representatives.
