SMEDA (Support to SME Development in Armenia, link), an initiative co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ’s “Private Sector Development in South Caucasus Programme” is bringing a delegation of Armenian Startups to Berlin. Goal is to support a highly specialised IT-scene in Armenia with information, international exposure and contacts to investors and partners in Germany.

The delegation will benefit from an one-week workshop crating a linkage between the two countries start-up scenes and one of the most vibrant technological R&D hubs in Europe.

The mission of BMZ goes hand in hand with the shortage of IT talent in Germany and the threat for European biggest economy of falling behind in technological advancements.
