- BSS is the fastest-growing sector in the Pomeranian business landscape
- The BSS Forum, the Outsourcing Stars, and the Job Fair organized in April cemented the strong position occupied by Tricity and Poland on the international business stage
- Event attracted guests from Poland, Europe, and Canada.
The BSS industry currently occupies one of the most forward-looking branches of the economy regarding labor market development. Modern business services, independently of traditional sectors, rank among the key areas pushing business forward. Tricity reflects this trend with the city becoming one of the hottest places on the BSS map. Business service centers operating in this seaside metropolis are becoming increasingly visible on the Polish labor market. And it was modern business services that served as the focal point of the latest edition of The BSS Forum, an international gathering organized by Pro Progressio.
Wiktor Doktór, CEO of Pro Progressio, remarked: The main objective of ‘The BSS Forum’ remains the same – discuss the most important topics and challenges faced by the modern business services industry. Nearly 400 participants from Poland, Europe, and Canada is a testament to the fact that we prepared an agenda that met their expectations. I am thrilled that this year we have also added the Job Fair event to The BSS Forum; it proved to be the missing piece of the jigsaw and we know already that the it will become a permanent fixture of our events in the future. Tricity was supposed to experience the wind of business changes. It most definitely happened.
“Wind of Change” was the leitmotif of The BSS Forum 2022. It mirrors the successful changes and development brought about by the BSS industry. Participants had the opportunity to explore the latest trends and regulations in areas such as communication, sales, law, human resources management, and business operations. The comprehensive agenda left no stone unturned and covered the most important trends and challenges within the BSS sector. It is safe to say that the lectures and debates really touched on the most interesting and crucial industry issues. Agenda tackled both the broader issues concerning key changes to the economy and labor law directly affecting the market; as well as more specific questions related to the foreigners looking for employment in Poland, with a particular emphasis on Tricity.
As part of its activities, Pro Progressio hosted the Outsourcing Stars gala honoring the most prominent business environment organizations and companies active in the business services and outsourcing sector. The 2022 winners are:

It was delivered by Ryan Strategic Advisory, a world-renowned institution within global BPO and CX sectors. Preferred BPO locations have been indicated by investors according to numerous criteria, such as availability, quality, stability or infrastructure. India, South Africa, Poland, the Philippines, Malaysia, Egypt, and Mexico formed the cream of the crop, with Poland coming in at second place. Business offshoring – which stands for transferring selected business processes abroad – is becoming an increasingly popular and prospective business model, and Poland is among the hottest destinations.
