Prizren Training and Innovation Park (ITP) will be the headquarters of MetDaan, a prominent digital media company that has earned a reputation for its quality of content not only in Kosovo but beyond. The rental contract was signed at ITP on October 27.
In the first phase of this collaboration, MetDaan will establish an Innovation Academy – Innovemia in the ITP Prizren and Prishtina, which aims to achieve the objectives of the Action #Digital4Business at the ITP Prizren in terms of skills development in the field of ICT among unemployed persons and especially women.
In the first phase co-funded by Digital4Business Action, the Innovation Academy will train at least 210 people under 35 years of age who are not currently holding any full-time jobs at the two campuses, including Minimum 40 women.
The first courses offered as part of the Innovation Academy – Innovation focuses on digital video editing and social media professionals. If training in Prishtina is already underway, training in Prizren will begin in December.
The duration of the Digital Media Video Editing course will be 8 weeks (48 hours) and will focus on practical editing of digital media. Compared to traditional editing, the main points will focus on the skills, mindset, work, and career of a digital media video editor.
The Social Media Specialist course will also last 8 weeks (48 hours) and covers SEO, Social Media Platform Marketing, Google AdWords, Google Analytics and more! The knowledge taught will be based on the latest market practices. Upon completion of the course, students will learn how to develop and execute a social media strategy through competitive research, audience identification, platform identification, and benchmarking. Other training courses focusing on the topic of Technology and Digital Entrepreneurship will also be offered as part of the Academy and in collaboration with Action Digital4Business.
This activity is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It begins operating under the Center for Digital Transformation in early 2022 and supports the Center in its two main pillars of science and education (supporting research faculties, research institutes, etc.) research, students and training institutions related to ICT by linking theory with practice) and Technology for Business (supporting traditional (non-ICT) businesses in Kosovo in digitalization of their operations and processes).
