Home Markets and locationsEurope Update: Have a look at … Georgia

The recent growth of Georgia’s Business Services sector has been evident. Georgia is fast becoming an attractive destination for contact centre services and non-voice business processes. Several international global businesses & IT services providers, and prominent local small and medium-sized companies are already serving international clients from Georgia, including brands from Fortune 500.

UPDATE: Moreover, Georgia has introduced new financial and fiscal incentives in order to facilitate foreign investments in IT and business process services, such as:

FDI grant for BPO/Business Services delivery projects – by employing a minimum of 200 associates and investing a minimum of 1.5 million USD in Georgia, foreign companies can receive up to 230 000 USD grant from Enterprise Georgia-a state investment promotion and business development agency as a reimbursement of costs related to staff training and/or infrastructure.

For IT services delivery projects, “International Company” status, a new preferential tax regime enables service providers to benefit from reduced profit and personal income taxes to flat 5% (regular rates are 15% for profit tax and 20% for salary-related personal income tax).

We highly recommend to take a closer look and learn more about the conditions and opportunities for establishing own delivery or r&d centers or to work with tech- or business process specialists based in Georgia. Our latest edition of the Outsourcing Destination Guides series offers just that: a comprehensive market overview, real business insights and company information for those who are looking for expanding their sourcing activities.
