As the German Wirtschaftswoche writes, employees of the car manufacturer Opel report that the newly formed Italian-American Car manufacturing group Stellantis N.V., which also owns Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the French PSA Group has confronted employees in Rüsselsheim (German HQ of Opel) with the plans to move developer jobs to Morocco. Apparently the IT is not the only department effected by the new structure, as also Procurement was presented with similar news. Employees have been told to look for new jobs as they are too expensive, writes the Wirtschaftswoche.
Further the news outlet writes that these decisions have been taken without the involvement of the workers union, which should have legal implications along the road.
